Michael Bianco Joins MDCC Baseball Staff as Assistant Coach

Mississippi Delta Community College has added Michael Bianco to its baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach, bringing years of coaching experience and a deep-rooted passion for the game to the Trojans program.
Bianco enters his first collegiate coaching role after an extensive career at the high school and travel baseball levels across Mississippi. He most recently served as a pitching and assistant coach at Tupelo Christian School, following five seasons as head baseball coach at Kirk Academy in Grenada. His background also includes time as an assistant coach at Magnolia Heights School in Senatobia, along with more than a decade of experience coaching youth travel baseball and working college camps since 2016.
A former player at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Bianco has been surrounded by the game his entire life, as the son of a college baseball coach. That lifelong exposure has shaped his approach to player development and mentorship.
Bianco was drawn to MDCC by the opportunity to step into the collegiate ranks and by the vision of head coach Aubrey Gillentine.
"Getting to know Coach Gillentine and hearing his vision for the program really excited me," Bianco said. "I think our backgrounds complement each other well, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be part of what's being built here."
Bianco praised Gillentine's emphasis on strength training, recovery, and a comprehensive approach to development, as well as the program's aggressive recruiting efforts throughout Mississippi and surrounding states.
With a background rooted in both high school and travel baseball, Bianco believes his experience will translate well to the junior college level.
"I've worked with this age group for a long time," he said. "I understand how young men at this stage learn, grow, and respond, and I'm excited to help guide them as players and as people."
For Bianco, the opportunity to coach at MDCC is both professional and personal.
"This being my first college job means a lot," he said. "To compete at this level while staying in the state of Mississippi—where I grew up and where baseball means so much—makes it even more special."
Bianco joins the Trojans as the program prepares for the upcoming season, adding experience, energy, and a player-focused mindset to the coaching staff.
