MDCC eSports Earns Signature Win Over Defending National Champions in Division I Madden Qualifier
The Mississippi Delta Community College eSports team delivered an impressive performance in Division I Madden qualifier competition, earning a marquee victory over the defending Division I Madden National Champions, Hinds Community College.
Competing against programs from across the country, MDCC showcased its growing national presence in collegiate eSports. The highlight of the night came with a 35–26 win over Hinds, a statement victory that underscores the program's competitive momentum this season.
The decisive win was led by JaChristian Sutton, who is currently ranked No. 3 nationally in Division I with a 3–0 record. Sutton's performance continues to solidify his standing among the nation's elite Madden competitors and plays a key role in MDCC's rising success.
Mississippi Delta currently boasts three players ranked in the top 10 nationally in Division I Madden. Alongside Sutton, Kendall Cleveland and Vegas Taylor have also earned top-10 national rankings, giving the Trojans one of the strongest competitive lineups in the country.
With multiple nationally ranked players and a signature victory over the reigning champions, MDCC continues to establish itself as a force in collegiate eSports. The team's depth, preparation, and execution have positioned the program for continued success as Division I competition progresses.
The Trojans remain focused on maintaining their national ranking while building momentum for future qualifier matches and postseason opportunities.
