Bio
Marquis Braimer begins his first season as Defensive Backs coach at Mississippi Delta Community College.
Prior to arriving at MDCC, Braimer volunteered as Defensive Backs coach at Blinn Junior college in Brenham, Texas.
In his lone year with the Buccaneers, the secondary unit ranked 2nd in the entire NJCAA with 18 interceptions.
Braimer is a native of Suffolk, Virginia where he starred at Nansemond River high school, ultimately becoming an All-State athlete in both football & track. He later went on to play college football at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise where he was a 4-year letterman cornerback. While there, Braimer studied Communications and earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communications. From there, Braimer went on to attend the University of North Texas where he earned his Master’s of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Journalism.
