The Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans return to their home floor tonight as they take on the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears at 5:30 p.m. inside the J.T. Hall Coliseum.
MDCC enters the contest looking to bounce back after a competitive 55–47 road loss to Holmes Community College. The Lady Trojans opened the game with a strong 16-point first quarter, showing early offensive rhythm, but were unable to overcome scoring struggles in the middle frames. MDCC added 8 points in the second quarter, 13 in the third, and 10 in the fourth as Holmes held off the comeback attempt.
E'kemi Johnson led the Lady Trojans with 16 points and 5 rebounds, continuing her role as a consistent scoring option and interior presence.
Tonight's matchup provides an opportunity for MDCC to reset, capitalize on their strong starts, and build momentum in front of their home crowd. With improved consistency across quarters and leadership from Johnson and the Lady Trojans' core, MDCC looks to put together a full performance against a tough Southwest Mississippi squad.
Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out early, pack the gym, and support the Lady Trojans as they look to defend home court.
